This decision has justifiably caused great concern. On Wednesday, February 10, 2000 the Press Enterprise reported that San Bernardino County officials informed supervisors that an environmental study on transporting highly radioactive waste to a Nevada site is inadequate. The study does not adequately address the problem of transporting highly radioactive waste over San Bernardino County freeways to the proposed Yucca Mountain site. o c Nuclear Waste Transportation Routes - California Page 1 of 1 Nuclear Waste Transportation Routes Highway and rall routes most likely to be used to transport high-level nuclear waste to Yucca Mountain, Nevada through the State of California Humboldl8q NP 44C_ t: S.n Onofre NP HI C_ SA/II DE.GO Back to the list of the States back to the Mao of the States Return to the Nuclear Waste Project Home Pae:e State of Nevada Nuclear Waste Project Office Capitol Complex Carson City, NY 89710 (702) 68,?-3744 http://www.state.nv.uslnucwastelstateslca1if.htm 2/11/00 ss- ." ..... -: _ .-, c",?"",""~;.:l."~-:..:." ~-.-: - __. 11:04 . w~.
