The total required is $37,034, allowing $2,000 for the engineering and design. On March 2, 1992, Bethlehem opened bids for the work to be performed and the bids submitted were as follows: Dave Kraker $35,074. $64,989. $85,000. Venture West Town and Country Construction The increase in the cost of construction is attributed to the use of the Davis-Bacon provisions on this project. The original estimate did not include additional costs as a result of the imposition of Davis-Bacon. On May 7, 1992, the Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee reviewed Bethlehem's request and recommended that the Mayor and Common Council approve the additional allocation of $11,324 from the CDBG appropriated reserve account. Staff has reviewed the above referenced request for additional CDBG funds and finds the request by Bethlehem House to be eligible for CDBG funding under the limited clientele activity analysis. Based upon the foregoing, staff recommends adoption of the attached resolution. ~BRSO..
