No. 86-210 adopted awarding a contract to J & R Landscaping for Assessment District No. 956 for the low bid price of $59,652. 06-01-87 -- Res. No. 87-177 adopted awarding a contract to Mentone Turf Supply for Assessment District No. 968 for the low bid orice of $3.336. (Cont. on 2nd oaae) Recommended motion: 1. That Change Order No. 6 to the contract with Mentone Turf Supply, for maintenance of landscaping in Assessment Districts No. 956 & 968, in accordance with Plans No. 6192-A and 6056-A, be approved; to extend the contract for a period of one year, from 7-1-92 to 6- 30-93, at a 3.75% increase in the contract unit prices, for an increase in the total annual contract price from $34,200.50 to $35,483.02. 2. That the transfer of $52,849.00 from Acct. No. 254-000-30405, "Assessment District Reserve Fund, "6'J tA t.. Any adjustments in the contract prices are to be negotiated at the time of each such renewal. Contract Change Order No. Six (6) extends the contract for one year, as allowed under the special provisions of the contract. The contract was previously extended from July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, with no increase in contract unit prices. The contractor has agreed to accept a 3.75% increase in the contract unit price for the 1992-93 renewal period, thereby increasing the contract price from $34,200.50 to $35,483.02. Below is an estimate of the total cost for providing these landscaping maintenance services, from 7-1-92 to 6-30-93. Maintenance Contract $ 35,483.02 Incidental Costs (Assessment Engineering, Publishing and Recording Fees, Inspection by Dept. of Parks & Recreation, Advertising for Bids, etc.) 17,365.00 Total Estimated Annual Cost $ 52,848.02 Funds to cover the costs incurred will be upfronted by the Ci ty, and reimbursed through special assessments placed on the tax bills for parcels within the assessment district, pursuant to the resolutions establishing the districts. Inspection of the Contractor's work will be provided by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
