Synopsis of Previous Council action:
NONE
Recommended motion:
1. That the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and the City Clerk are
authorized to proceed with the proposed vacation of a portion of Kendall
Drive right-of-way lying Northeasterly of Kendall Drive and Southeasterly of
Palm Avenue.
2. That Plan No. 8704, showing the proposed vacation of a portion of Kendal
Drive right-of-way lying Northeasterly of ~K,~endal1 Drive and Southeasterly of

STAFF REPORT
A request was received from Frank Tracadas to vacate a strip of land 50 feet wide
by approximately 620 feet in length. This strip of land abuts his property ,which
lies to the North and East of Kendall Drive (between Pine Avenue and Palm Avenue)
The land in question is a portion of excess right-of-way along Kendall Drive.
relinquished to the City of San Bernardino by the State of California in 1991.
The petitioner has deposited the required S500.00. which represents one-half of
the total street vacation processing fee of Sl.000.00. The remaining S500.00
will be due after the investigative proceedings.
The San Bernardino County Flood Control District has been contacted to ascertain
whether or not they will need extra frontage where Cable Creek Channel crosses
Kendall Drive. They assureJ-us that if any extra right-of-way is needed when the
box culvert is installed they will get it from the adjoining property owner.
Kendall Drive has a proposed ultimate right-of-way width of 110 feet and vacating
the Northerly feet 45 will leave the City with a 55 foot right-of-way on the
Northerly side of Kendall Drive.
