OF SAN BERtORDINO - REQUEST ~R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans for the installation of a catch basin and lateral, at Highland Avenue and Elk's Drive, have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project entails installation of a catch basin to avoid having storm water continually in the cross gutter. Below is an estimate of the total project cost: Construction contract $ 21,579 Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1914) 3,750 Sub-Total $ 25,329 Contingencies (15%):1: 3,871 TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 29,200 An amount of $25,000 has been allocated, under Account No. 248-368-57807, to finance the costs that will be incurred for these improvements. Supplemental funds, in the amount of $5,000, will be provided by the proposed transfer of $5,000 from the $250,000 allocated for the extension of the Mill Street Storm Drain. The remaining balance of $245,000 will be adequate to finance the Mill Street Storm Drain. We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids. 11-19-91 75-0264
