On February 22, 1989, a defective quitclaim deed inaccurately recorded the
City's and AgencY'8 ownership interests of the propertie8 located at the
southea8t corner of Court and "E" Streets, and the City Hall Plaza areas. The
attached parcel map (Exhibit I) illustrates the current ownerships.
Parcel "A" was inadvertently deeded to the City while Parcel "8" belongs to the
Agency. The correct disposition is for the Redevelopment Agency to own both of
these parcels. Parcel "C" is a portion of the plaza area, which should be
deeded from the Agency to the City.
The attached Resolutions and Quitclaim Deeds would correct the situation by
swapping Parcel "A" for Parcel "C".
Staff recommends adoption of the form motion.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF COURT AND "E" STREETS IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
WHEREAS, the Redeveloplllent Agency, by document recorded February
22, 1989, inadvertently Quitclaimed to the City of San Bernardino a portion
of the property located at the Southeast corner of Court and "E" Streets,
which portion is approximately the East one-half of the Parking Lot located
at this location: and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Redevelopllent Agency to have
proper title to the land in order to properly deal with the land.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO THAT:
SECTION 1. That the Quitclaim Deed referred to herein, a copy
of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof as
fully as though set forth at length herein, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of San
Bernardino are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Quitclaim Deed
on behalf of the City of San Bernardino.

THE CITY OF SAN BERlIARDINO.
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, by docUlllent recorded February
22, 1989, inadvertently Quitclaimed to the Redevelopment Agency a portion
of the property located on the east side of "E" Street, West of the
Convention Center. Also known, ss s portion of Parcel 25, Plaza West, of
Parcel Map 688, as per Parcel Map Book 25, pages 47 through 58,
inclusive, recorda of San Bernardino County California; and
WHEREAS, it is neceasary for the City of San Bernardino to have
proper title to the land in order to properly deal with the land.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERlURDINO THAT:
SECTION 1.
That the QuitClaim Deed referred to herein, a copy of
which ia attached hereto, marked Ezhibit "A", and made a part hereof as
fully as though set forth at length herein, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
That the Community Development Commission of the City
of San Bernardino are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Quitclaim Deed on behalf of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San
Bernardino.
