STAFF REPORT
The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to
prohibit parking on the west side of Little Mountain Drive
adjacent to the Fairway Park Condominium complex.
The "No Parking" zone was requested in order to alleviate
sight restrictions for vehicles exiting the driveways. Vehicles,
including semi-trucks, are regularly parked adjacent to the
driveways obstructing the visibility of motorists attempting to
leave the complex.
An investigation conducted by the Traffic Engineering
staff verified the claims, and concurred with the request.
However, before proceeding with any attempt to prohibit parking,
a survey of the affected residents was conducted by the
Homeowners Association to determine residents I position on the
proposed parking restriction. The survey found that the majority
of the residents are in favor of the proposal.
In view of the traffic safety concern, and the demon-
strated support for the parking prohibition by the affected
residents, we recommend that parking be prohibited.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 3985 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION.
PROHIBITING PARKING UPON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS OR ALLEYS,
OR PORTIONS THEREOF. .n TO ESTABLISH A NO PARKING ANY TIME ZONE
ON LITTLE MOUNTAIN DRIVE, BETWEEN FOUR HUNDRED FEET SOUTH OF
BUSSEY STREET AND BOND STREET, APPLICABLE TO THE WEST SIDE ONLY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 :
Resolution No. 3985 which prohibits
parking upon certain designated streets or portions thereof,
Section One, Subsection 20.3, LITTLE MOUNTAIN DRIVE, is amended
to read:
"20.3 LITTLE MOUNTAIN DRIVE
(a) Between Twenty-Seventh Street and a point 1465
feet North of Twenty-Seventh Street, applicable to the West side
only.
(b) Between 400 feet south of Bussey Street and
Bond Street, applicable to the west side only.
(c) Between a point approximately 120 feet South
and a point approximately 740 feet North of the intersection of
Edgehi1l Road and Little Mountain Drive, applicable to the East
side only.
(d) Between Morgan Road and a point 800 feet
south of Morgan Road, applicable to the west side only.
(e) Between Forth-Eighth Street and Northpark
Boulevard."
