Upon no response to the Abatement Orders. the abandoned vehicles were abated by the City. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCES (ABANDONED VEHICLES) ON SAID PROPERTIES AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 90-435 AND 91-240 WHEREAS. the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give notice of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the properties listed below; and WHEREAS. pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the Director of Facilities Management Department served notice on all property owners of the abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, and/or inoperable vehicles or parts thereof from the property; and WHEREAS. opportunity for a hearing before the Board of Building Commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property owners, with no response forthcoming: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 90-435 is hereby amended by deleting the reference, in Assessment Case No. 90 VAP 2093-08 (page 2, Hne 23), to Assessor's Parcel No. 0138-021-11 and substituting the correct Parcel No. 0137-021-11 so that the entry reads as follows: 91 VAP 2093 -08 0137-021-11 1259 W. Resolution No. 91-240 is hereby amended by deleting the reference, in Assessment Case No. 91 VAP 368-03 (page 2, line 3), to Assessor's Parcel No. 0154-622-04 and substituting the correct Parcel No. 0154-662-04 so that the entry reads as follows: 91 V AP 368-03 28 /I /I October 17, 1991 FW/at 0154-662-04 $ 138.50 5564 Mayfield Richard Goodman 2 o o 1 SECTION 4. The above assessment shall be paid to F8cl1ities ........gement 2 Department. basement of City Hall. 300 North "D" Street. San Bernardino. 3 CA 92418. within (30) days after notice of this resolution is mailed to all 4 parties with an interest in the above properties. All assessments not fully 5 paid in tldrty (30) days shall become a lien on the property pursuant to 6 the San Bernardino Municipal Code and shall be collected as a special 7 assessment thereon. 8 SECTION 5. if the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove 9 provided. a City Official is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution 10 with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino. State of California. 11 directing that said assessment be entered as a lien against the property as 12 it appears on the current assessment rolls.
