The request was received from a tenant of the office complex located on the northwest corner of Hospitality Lane and Commercenter West. The requestee claims that the existing parking limitation creates an inconvenience to the employees and visitors of the businesses located on this street. The parking limitation was implemented in November of 1977 to alleviate a problem of long term parking by semi-trucks in the area. In June of 1985, a resolution was adopted prohibiting parking of commercial vehicles weighing over 5 tons, on several streets including Commercenter West. This action eliminated the need for the 2-hour parking. However, staff was concerned that other factors, not readily apparent, would cause the business owners/managers to oppose the removal of the limitation. A phone survey was, therefore, conducted. This survey polled the affected business managers/owners. The results of the survey indicate an overwhelming amount of support for the removal of the 2-hour parking limitation. In view of the demonstrated support for this request, we recommend that the parking limitation be deleted. 9-24-91 ~-0264 -00 :e-o )>T]rr1::O ::DN~O /\:'0-0 -I<O ZO)>C/) 1G)~rr .l:ll.lDlIL- LN 9-24-91 -1 -< r z o C MMERCENTER CIRCLE OJ OJ C (j) -- Z fTl en en o ~z o r:D {\-1 I Nf"Tl IX :1:- OCf> C-4. ::Oz -oGJ )> ::0 ^ Z GJ "' o o 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 8234 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION. 3 ESTABLISHING PARKING TIME LIMITATIONS UPON CERTAIN DESIGNATED STREETS, ALLEYS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF..."; AND AUTHORIZING THE 4 REMOVAL OF A TWO-HOUR PARKING LIMITATION ON COMMERCENTER WEST BETWEEN HOSPITALITY LANE AND AIRPORT DRIVE. 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE 6 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS: 7 SECTION 1.
