STAFF REPORT
Many developments are conditioned to dedicate additional
rights-of-way for street widening, or easements for various
purposes.
Dedication of these rights-of-way (except for subdivi-
sions) is accomplished by the property owner signing an Easement
form.
Preparation of Easement forms involves drafting a plat
map, verification of property owership, preparation of legal
description (or checking legal description provided by
developer), recording signed Easement form, and drafting on
right-of-way index maps.
Below is an estimate of cost for preparation of a typical
Easement form.

It is, therefore, recommended that a fee of $200.00 be
established for preparation of an Easement form in response to a
request from a developer or property owner.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ESTABLISHING A
FEE OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR PREPARATION OF AN
3 EASEMENT FORM FOR DEDICATION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
Findinqs.
The Mayor and Common Council
hereby find:
A. A public meeting was set pursuant to the provisions
of Government Code Section 54990, et seq., to consider the
establishment of a new fee for preparation of Easement Forms for
dedication of right-of-way by the Department of Public Works.
B. The proposed fee of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00)
does not exceed the actual cost incurred by the City for
preparing an Easement Form for dedication of right-of-way, the
addi tiona1 expense to the City for preparing an Easement Form
shall be borne by the General Fund of the City of San Bernardino.
SECTION 2.
Implementation.
The fee of Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00) for preparation of an Easement Form shall apply
to all requests for
