The Community Development Commission discussed this matter in various
Closed Sessions, approved the purchase price and set a Public Hearing in
connection with this matter.

MOTION:
That the Community Development Commission continue to
October 21, 1991, the Public Hearing regarding the
acquisition of real property generally located at 701 North
"E" Street and 767 North "E" Street, including certain
vacant parcels and parking areas bounded on the west by "E"
Street, on the south by 7th Street and on the east by "D"
Street.

Pacific Federal Bui1dina Public Hearina
At the September 16, 1991 the Community Development Commission took
action authorizing the acquisition of the Pacific Federal Buildings
located at 701 and 767 North "E" Street. Also included in the proposed
acquisition are certain vacant parcels and a parking lot. The Commission
also took an action setting a Public Hearing scheduled for October 7,
1991.
The State Health and Safety Code requires that there be a noticed Public
Hearing prior to formal action being taken on a proposed acquisition.
The notice must be placed in a local newspaper of general circulation.
Due to procedural problems related to the publication of the notice, it
is requested that the Public Hearing be continued to the October 21, 1991
Commission meeting.
Based upon the foregoing, staff recommends adoption of the form motion.
