Synopsis of Previous Council action:
June 2, 1990 The Mayor and Common Council adopted the General
Plan and the subject site was designated CN,
Commercial Neighborhood.
Recommended motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council direct the
Planning Division to initiate a general plan
amendment to consider a CG-l, Commercial
General designation for the southeast corner
of Del Rosa Avenue and Eureka Avenue.

STAFF REPORT
SUBJECT: Initiation of a General Plan Amendment for the southeast
corner of Del Rosa Avenue and Eureka Avenue.
Mayor and Common Council Meetinq of September 16, 1991
The site is desiqnated CN, commercial Neiqhborhood and is developed
with a mini strip center that is primarily vacant. The CG-1,
commercial General desiqnation would permit a wider ranqe of
commercial uses than what is permitted under the CN, Commercial
Neiqhborhood desiqnation.

FUNDING REOUIREMENTS:
In addition to staff time for processinq the qeneral plan
amendment, a $25 County filinq fee will be required.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Mayor and Common Council direct the Planninq Division to
initiate a qeneral plan amendment to consider a CG-1, Commercial
General land use desiqnation for the southeast corner of Del Rosa
Avenue and Eureka Avenue.
