8/20/90 -- Mayor & Council approved the allocation of $3,500 to
Western Regional Little League Baseball, Inc. to
defray team costs.

We are presently in the planning stages of developing an exciting
and interesting Western Region Little League Baseball Tournament
in San Bernardino, to be held at the Western Region Al Houghton
Stadium.
We have greatly appreciated the support from the City Council in
the amount of $3,500.00 annually, to defray the cost of the following
activities for which I am again respectfully requesting your assistance
for 1991.
Team Transportation (to and from the airport-various arrival times).
Get Acquainted Picnic, (Friday evening, August 9, feeding approximately
600 guests), Team Transportation (to and from Disneyland, Sunday,
August 11, 1991).
Mayor Holcomb, I believe that from the many accolades received from
visitors to the Regional Tournament, this event is one of the top
sporting events in the Inland Empire, and we are again anticipating
a crowd of 40 to 50 thousand spectators from throughout the 13 Western
States.
Please accept our sincere thanks for the outstanding support we have
received in the past and that you will look favorably on this request.
Also, that you will honor us with your presence at some of the activities
on the enclosed schedule of events.
