Amounts of $4,000 have been allocated in the 1990/91 CDBG
Budget, under Accounts No. 121-544-52544-00000-0014 & 0046, to
finance the costs incurred for installing this fence. The De-
partment of Parks and Recreation has advised that supplemental
funds in the amount of $2,800 will be provided from CDBG funds to
fully finance the total estimated cost of this project.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO CORONA STEEL & SUPPLY DBA MACHADO IRON & STEEL FOR
INSTALLATION OF TUBULAR STEEL FENCING AT JOHNSON HALL COMMUNITY
CENTER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 .
Corona Steel & Supply, dba Machado Iron &
Steel, is the lowest responsible bidder for:
Installation of
Tubular Steel Fencing at Johnson Hall Community Center, in
9 accordance with Plan No. 8482. A contract is awarded to said
10 bidder accordingly for the total amount of $8,493.00, but such
11 award shall be effective only upon the contract being fully
12 executed by the parties. All other bids, therefore, are hereby
13 rejected. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
14 said contract on behalf of the City; a copy of the contract is on
15 file in the office of the City Clerk and incorporated herein by
16 reference as fully as though set forth at length.
17 SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica-
18 tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
19 fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
20 obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
21 oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are
22 intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
23 course of conduct of any party.
24 SECTION 3. This resolution is rescinded if the parties
25 to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
26 passage of this resolution.
