Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council/Committee Action:
The Community Development Commission previously approved an agreement
between the Commission and HomeAid, Inc., involving the development of
various housing, including the Arden/Guthrie Area Revitalization Plan.

Arden/Guthrie Area Revitalization Plan
Previously, the Community Development Commission approved and adopted
an agreement between the Commission and HomeAid, Inc., which called
for, among other things, the development of a revitalization plan for
the Arden/Guthrie area. For the past several months, HomeAid, Inc.,
staff have worked with property owners and City staff in collecting
pertinent data, surveying other cities, developing conditions,
covenants and restrictions, establishing a property owners' association
and related activities.
HomeAid, Inc., has recently submitted a program entitled "Sunrise
Village Revitalization Plan" which includes important programs,
projects and activities designed to fundamentally revitalize the
Arden/Guthrie Area. Its is, therefore, appropriate for the Community
Development Commission to set a date and time certain for the
conducting of a workshop to discuss in detail the proposed
revitalization.
Staff recommends adoption of the form motion.
