Descriotion) Finance: uncilNotas: 5-0262 Agenda Item No--1/J ;;.;; CITY' OF SAN BERNA::lDINO - REQUEST FQ COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT A letter of petition was received by this office for the formation of an Assessment District to finance the cost of a portion of the off-site improvements (consisting of subdivision paving, curbs, gutters, etc. ) relative to Tentative Tract No. 14503, located along Cajon Boulevard, South of Pepper Linden Drive, under the provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, On September 5, 1990, the City Engineer and the City Clerk were authorized to proceed with the proposed district. Authorization was also given to use the same principal consultants as those used for Assessment District No. 977, which is a similar project of the same developer, located adjacent to this project. One of those consultants was the firm of Bateman, Eichler, Hill Richards, who was to provide Investment Banking services. That firm has since diversified and are no longer operating this area. We are recommending that the firm of Stone and Youngberg be used in place of Bateman, Eichler Hill Richards. The City has used this firm in the past with good results.
