Synopsis of Previous Council action:
8-19-86 --- Resolution No. 86-341, adopted by the Mayor aud Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscaping maintenance district.
8-4-86 Resolution No. 86-322, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping.
1-5-87 Resolution No. 87-9, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council, found
that the public interest, convenience and necessity required the
amendment of the boundaries of the District by expanding the
boundaries thereof to inciude additional territory in the District.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

CITY OF SAN BERN~INO - REQUEST F" COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
As required by the pr0V1S1ons of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 86-341, 86-322 and 87-9, which established the District, the
annual assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 976 (Pine and Belmont
Area Landscaping Maint.) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1991-92 totals S 40,879.47 and is submitted to your Honorahle
Body for action as required.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY Of' SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THt: 1991-92 ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 976, LANDSCAPING XAINTENANCE, PINE AND
BELMONT AREA.
llHEREAS,
by Resolution No. 86-341, the Mayor and Common Council
found that the public interest, convenience, and necessity required the
formation of a landscaping maintenance district; and
\'iHEREAS,
by said Resolution No. 86-3ill, the Mayor and Common
10 Council formed an assessment district known as Assessmenc District No. 97b
11 for the purpose of providing landscaping maintenance in the area of Pine and
12 Belmont Avenues pursuant cO the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San
13 Bernardino Ci ty Mwlicipal Code; and
14
15 1I1lliREAS, by Resolution No. 86-322, the Mayor and Common Council
16 declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said district
17 will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping; and

\'i'HEREAS,
said Resolution No.86-322 declared that an annual
20 assessment shall be levied on all land within the district to provide funding
21 for said landscaping maintenance and the administration thereof; and
22
23
WHEREAS,
by Resolution No. 87-9, the Mayor and Common Cowlcil
24 declared that the public interest and necessity required the amendment of the
25 boundaries of the District by expanding the boundaries thereof to include
26 additional territory in the District; and

~HEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totili ing S4U,U79.47
which sets forth the individuai assessments to he levied OIl each of the
parccJs ot land within Assessment Distr-ict No. 976 tor the tiscal year 1991-
92;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED llY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL Of TH[ CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Ma~.or and Common Counci 1 do hereby t ind and
determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against th" parcels 01
land wi thin Assessment District No. <.}76 are correctly set forth on
Assessment Roll No. 976 for the fiscal year 1991-92, designated ilS J::xhi bit
"A" and attached hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this
Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller tor the
County of San Bernardino with the request that the individual assessments be
placed on the subject 1991-92 property tax bills for collection together
with all other property taxes.
