STAFF REPORT
A great deal of time has gone into the analysis of the costs
and benefits of liberalizing the City of San Bernardino's
current policies on the sale of animals for research
purposes.
After careful consideration, the conclusion has been reached
that it would be in the best interest of the citizens of the
City of San Bernardino to request the Council to delete the
item from the June 19, 1991, agenda. I do not support any
change in the current city policy on the sale of animals for
research.

Today, June 14, 1991, Mayor Holcomb made the following
announcement:
"I have spent a great deal of time analyzing the costs and
