Synopsis of Previous Council action:
12-04-89 Ordinance MC 690 adopted levying an infrastructure fee
for the Verdmont Area.
01-03-90 Ordinance MC 695 adopted extending effective date of
Ordinance MC-690.
01-03-90 Resolution 90-2 adopted revis:.n" the amount of an in-
frastructure fee to be levied.
06-25-90 Resolution 90-253 adopted revising the amount of the
infrastructure fee to be levied, from $7,375 to $6,068,
due to deletion of water system.
11-19-90 Ordinance adopted relating to the time for payment of
the Verdemont Infrastructure Fee.
01-07-91 Verdemont Infrastructure Fee 1990/91 Budget (Fund No.
255) approved.
Recommended motion:
That the plans for installation of street improvements on sections
of Irvington Avenue and Magnolia Avenue, in accordance with Plan
No. 8420, be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City
Engimeer authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for installation of street improvements have been
prepared by the Engineering Division and the project is ready to
be advertised for bids. The project consists, in general, of
installing sewer mains, paving, curbs and gutters, sidewalk and
street lights on the following sections of streets:
BASIC BID:
1. Irvington Avenue (South Side) - Pine Avenue to
600' West.
2. Irvington Avenue - Olive Avenue to Palm Avenue
3. Irvington Avenue - Palm Avenue to Magnolia
4. Magnolia Avenue - Belmont Avenue to Meyers Road
ADDITIVE ALTERNATE:
Magnolia Avenue - Meyers Road to Ohio Avenue
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:

The additive alternate is included in the bid documents,
in the event that sufficient funds are available.
Mello-Roos Community Facilities District No. 995 was
formed at the request of 4 property owners in order to finance
the Verdemont Infrastructure Fee on their 7 parcels. There is
an available balance of $470,478.85 from the bond proceeds for
financing the cost of these street improvements. These funds
are in Account 4255-673-53925.
A Notice of Exemption, from provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act, has been filed.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
