Dept: Parks, Recreation & Community Services Date: May 17, 1991 Synopsis of Previous Council action: Resolutions have been approved by the Mayor and Common Council since August 1983 to establish A9reements between the City and School District for delivery of lunches and snacks to the City's Delmann Heights Head Start Center. The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has provided a Head Start Program at Delmann Heights Community Center since 1978 with an agreement with city Schools for lunches and snacks since that time. This program currently accommodates 15 morning and 15 afternoon pre-schoolers, ages 3-5 and runs September through June. This proposed agreement includes a $.03 increase for lunches (from $.95 to $.98). The cost of the snacks remains the same as last year ($.25). The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Members present: H. Brown, M. BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves entering into the Food Service Agreement (Fiscal Year) with the City of San Bernardino for its Delman Heights Child Care Center, effective July 1, 1991, through June 30, 1992, per terms of the Agreement, at no cost to the District. BE IT FURlHER RESOLVED that Harold L Boring, Assistant Superintendent, Administrative Services, be authorized to sign said Agreement on behalf of the Board of Education. I, E. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT RELATING TO THE DELIVERY OF TYPE A LUNCHES AND SCHEDULE B SNACKS TO CITY'S DELMANN HEIGHTS HEAD START CENTER. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor of the city of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City an Agreement with the San Bernardino City Unified School District relating to the delivery of Type A Lunches and Schedule B Snacks to City'S Delmann Heights Head Start Center, for the term of one year and to provide the student lunches at ninety-eight cents each and the snacks at twenty- five cents each, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at length.
