F-92-08
The proposed purchase is for umpiring services for the adult softball
program to be utilized in daily operations by the Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly
opened and declared on May 23, 1991. The following is a summary of bids
received.

Eight (8) vendors providing this service were solicited. Two (2)
responded, one with a valid bid and one with an invalid bid.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department who concurs that the bid of Tri-County
Officials Inc. meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore
recommended that the bid be accepted for a three year contract. The
funding is from Adult Sports registration fees. The total dollar amount
is based on and estimated 1,200 games per year for three years.
The contract amount is $85,800 total for the three years. This is based
on 600 fast pitch games and 600 slow pitch games.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO MlARDING A PURCHASE ORDER TO
TRI-COUNTY OFFICIALS INC. FOR A THREE (3) YEAR PERIOD fOR THE FURNISHING AND
DELIVERY OF UMPIRING SERVICES, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PARKS, RECREATION AND
COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-92-08.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Tri-County Officials Inc. is the lowest and best
responsible bidder for the furnishing and delivery of umpiring services for a
three (3) year period in accordance with Bid Specification F-92-08 for the
total amount of $85,000; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent
is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said umpiring
services for a three (3) year period to said lowest and best responsible
bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase
Order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefor are hereby
rejected.
SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced purchase
order is rescinded if the parties to the purchase order fail to execute it
within sixty (60) days of the passage of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
