F-92-06
The proposed purchase is for annual maintainence of landscape and
irrigation systems for Seccombe Lake to be utilized in daily operations
by the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly
opened and declared on May 14, 1991. The following is a summary of bids
received.

Bids were mailed to area landscape maintenance suppliers. Seven (7)
vendors responded. Three (3) vendors submi tted val i d bi ds. A job walk
was held with the vendors May I, 1991 to acquaint prospective vendors
with the requirements.
Note: J & R Landscape changed their name to Excell Landscape during the
bid process.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department who concurs that the bid of Excell
Landscape meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore
recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. Funding
is in the 1991/92 budget.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A PURCHASE ORDER TO
EXCELL LANDSCAPE FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF MAINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPE
AND IRRIGATIDN SYSTEMS FOR SECCOMBE LAKE, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PARKS,
RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID
SPECIFICATION F-92-06.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Excell Landscape is the lowest and best responsible
bidder for the furnishin9 and delivery of maintenance of landscape and
irrigation systems for Seccombe Lake in accordance with Bid Specification
F-92-06 for the total amount of $74,850.00; pursuant to this determination,
the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase
order for said maintenance of landscape and irrigation systems for Seccombe
Lake to said lowest and best responsible bidder; such award shall only be
effective upon the issuance of a Purchase Order by the Purchasing Agent; and
all other quotations therefor are hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced agreement is
rescinded if the parties to the agreement fail to execute it within sixty (60)
days of the passage of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
