F-92-05
The proposed purchase is for Annual Landscape Maintenance for sixteen
(16) locations to be utilized in daily operations by the Parks,
Recreation and Community Services Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly
opened and declared on May 9, 1991. The following is a summary of
Bids received.

Bids were mailed to area suppliers of this commodity. Eight (8) vendors
responded. Five (5) vendors submitted no bids. Three (3) vendors
submitted valid bids.
On April 29, 1991 a Job Walk was held by the Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department so that all prospective vendors could
view the sites to be maintained.
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Parks, Recreation
and Community Services Department who concurs that the Bid of Mentone
Turf Supply meet specifications and requirements. It is therefore
recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. The equipment
funding is in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
budget.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A PURCHASE ORDER TO
MENTONE TURF SUPPLY FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
FOR SIXTEEN LOCATIONS, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY
SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-92-05.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Mentone Turf Supply is the lowest and best responsible
bidder for the furnishing and delivery of Landscape Maintenance for sixteen
locations in accordance with Bid Specification F-92-05 for the total amount of
$52,200.00; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said Landscape
Maintenance for sixteen locations to said lowest and best responsible bidder;
such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase Order by
the Purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefor are hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. The authorization to execute the above referenced agreement is
rescinded if the parties to the agreement fail to execute it within sixty (60)
days of the passage of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
