Descriotion) Heating/Air-Conditioning System Finance: ~ 1) ;- Johnson Hall Council Notes: Agenda Item No 5*'4 CITY OF SAN BERNORDINO - REQUEST lOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans for the installation of a heating/air-conditioning system for Johnson Hall have been prepared by the Engineering Division and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists of furnishing and installing two 4-ton HVAC units, and a complete system of ducts and registers. Below is an estimate of the total project cost. Construction Contract $ 12,000 Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1901) 1,000 Sub-Total 13,000 Contingencies (15%):t 1,950 TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 14.950 An amount of $5,000 has been allocated. from CDBG funds, in both Accounts No. 121-544-52544-00000-0014 and 0046. These amounts have been augmented with supplemental funds of $2,500 in each of these accounts, for a total available amount of $15,000. A Notice of Determination of exemption. from provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act, will be filed. We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids. URGENCY CLAUSE It is essential to advertise this project as soon as possible, if the HVAC system is to be placed in service during the upcoming summer-months. 5-14-91 75-0264
