90-173 AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT
WITH COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO
FOR SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM
TO INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL ONE
TIME GRANT OF $20,000.
Amendment No. 1 to Resolution No. 90-173 (County Agreement
No. 90-655) will provide a one time grant for the Senior
Nutrition Program in the amount of $20,000. These funds will
be allocated towards raw food expenses for the operation of a
nutrition program.

On June 25, 1990 the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement 90-655 with the
City of San Bernardino to provide nutrition services for seniors in FY 1990-
91.
This action would allow the Contractor to enhance its food service capability
and to maintain its current level of food service.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF
SAN BERNARDINO ACTING AS THE AREA AGENCY ON AGING APPROVING A
REVISED BUDGET FOR THE SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM TO INCLUDE AN
ADDITIONAL ONE TIME GRANT SUM OF $20,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF
RAW FOODS NECESSARY TO IMPROVE THE MEAL SERVICE FOR THE
BUDGET YEAR 1990-91.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino
is hereby authorized and directed to execute an amendment to
the contract with the County of San Bernardino acting as the
Area Agency on Aging approving a revised budget for the
Senior Nutrition Program in the amount of $20,000 for the
purchase of raw foods necessary to
improve the meal
service
for the budget year 1990-1991, a
copy of which is
attached
hereto,
marked Exhibit
"A" and incorporated herein by
reference as fully as though set forth at length.

SECTION 2. The agreement authorized by this

resolution shall not take effect until fully signed and
18 both parties. Neither party shall obligated
executed by be
hereunder unless and until the agreement is fully executed
and no oral agreement relating thereto shall be implied or
authorized.
SECTION 3. The authorization granted hereunder shall
expire and be void and of no further effect if the agreement
is not executed by both parties and returned to the office of
the City Clerk within 60 days following effective date of the
resolution.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
WHEREAS, the County and the City of San Bernardino,
entered into a contract on June 25, 1990, designated in County
records as Contract No. 90-6551 and
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to amend said Contract
to provide for an increase in funds for services provided
thereunder 1
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed that effective
, Contract No. 90-655 is amended as follows:
1) The maximum amount of California Department of
Aging and County funds awarded under this contract, as specified
in Paragraph 5 thereof, is hereby increased to $197,1901
2) The matching share contributed by the Contractor
as specified in Paragraph 6 is $14,855, of which $-0- shall be
in cash and $14,855 shall be in kindl
3) Exhibits "B" and "B-1" are hereby deleted from
the Contract and new exhibits so designated and marked "REVISED"
are hereby added to the Contract and incorporated therein by
reference 1
4) Except as modified by this amendment, all provisions
of Contract No. 90-655 remain in full force and effect.
