STAFF REPORT
In the past the Fire Department has desired to issue permits
for professional fireworks displays in the area covered by San
Bernardino Municipal Code Section 8.60.120. This Section should
be amended to clearly allow that authority.

8.60.l20.B OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
3 FIREWORKS IN HIGH FIRE AREAS.
4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
Subsection B of Section 8.60.120 of the San

Bernardino Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:

"B. Unless a permit is issued by the San
Bernardino Fire Department pursuant to

Health and Safety Code Section l2640(e) and
19 California Code of Regulations Section
982 et seq., no fireworks shall be
discharged in the high fire hazard area
described in SEction 8.63.130 and within
the area bounded by Highland Avenue, Del
Rosa Avenue, Pacific Street and Perris Hill
Drive, commonly known as Perris Hill."
