EXTENSIOII FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND
INSTALLATION OF PLAY EQUIPMENT AT
THE 40TH STREET TOT LOT.
STAFF REPORT
The Women's Club of San Bernardino chose the 40th Street Park Tot Lot as a project
to provide new play equipment as a community service. They have contributed $4,OB4
for that purpose.
The park is located on the northwest corner of Mountain View Avenue and 40th Street.
It is a half acre park consisting primarily of a play area with picnicking amenities.
This request is for $BOO to assist in the purchase and installation costs of the play
equipment. It is estimated that the equipment will cost $4,772. These funds will
be used to make up the difference between the costs of equipment and incidentals
of installation and the amount donated.
The 40th Street Park is consistently used by the neighbors and the new equipment
will greatly enhance the public image and provide a healthy and safe play environ-
ment for the children.
This request for funds has been coordinated with Fourth Ward Councilman Maudsley.
