Staff has been informed that there are a substantial number of mature olive
available from an existing parcel on Highland Avenue and from a developer.

is informed there are inexpensive techniques to prevent this.
The Commission/City owns several parcels of land which are vacant and could be
enhanced by moving and planting these trees for the beautification of the City, at an
estimated cost of $20,000.00. City crews will be used for the moving and planting of
the trees.
Staff recommends that the Community Development Commission approve the use of amount
not to exceed $20,000 from tax allocation bond proceeds to finance moving and planting
the olive trees.
