Henderson, Executive Director of the Development Department, informed the Commission that this item would allow the Redevelopment Committee to conduct closed sessions re1sting to sensitive negotiations with development clients. Commission Member Minor asked for clarification as to how this amendment to the existing resolution is affected by the Brown Act. Dennis Barlow, Senior Assistant City Attorney, explained that the Brown Act does not presently authorize the Redevelopment Committee to conduct closed sessions in matters relating to sensitive negotiations with prospective development clients and approval of this, amendment to the resolution would allow for that provision.
