The proposed purchase is for one (1) each sewer roddi n9 truck to be
utilized in daily operations by the Public Services/Street Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared. published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly
opened and deClared on February 5, 1991. The following is a summary of
Bids received.

Thirteen (13) vendors of this commodity were solicited. Nine (g)
responded. three (3) with no bids and four (4) valid bids. Those four
(4) bidders offered a total of six (6) bids including the alternates.
The Fleet Manager chose to include the option of air conditioning,
bringing the vehicle total to $111,207.86. Delivery is 30 days or less
after receipt of order.
Speci fi cati ons as bi d have been revi ewed wi th the Di rector of Pub lie
Services/Street Department and the Fleet Manager who concur that the Bid
of Ni xon-Egl i meets specifi cati ons and requi rements. It is therefore
recornmended that the Bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding
is in the 1990/91 budget.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER TO NIXON-EGLI FOR THE FURNISHING AND
DELIVERY OF ONE (1) SEWER RODDING TRUCK, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE
PUBLIC SERVICES/REFUSE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID
SPECIFICATION F-91-08.
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
That Nixon-Eg1i is the lowest and best
responsible bidder for the furnishing and delivery of one (1)
Sewer Rodding Truck in accordance with Bid Specification F-91-08
for the total amount of One-Hundred-E1even-Thousand-Two-Hundred-
Seven Dollars and Eighty-Six Cents ($111,107.86); pursuant to
this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and
directed to issue a Purchase Order for said one (1) Sewer Rodding
Truck to said lowest and best responsible bidder; such award
shall only be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase Order by
the Purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefore are
hereby rejected.
SECTION 2.
The authorization to execute the above-
referenced Purchase Order is rescinded if the parties to the
purchase fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
passage of this resolution.
