Edison Service Riser
A payment of $123,480 has been received, under Account
No. 242-362-57377, from St. Bernardine Medical Center, pursuant
to the Development Agreement for construction of the parking
structure. These funds will be used to finance the costs
incurred for this project.
Installation of a left turn lane at Crestview Avenue was
included in the contract documents as an Additive Alternate.
This was done since parking will have to be restricted on the
south side of 21st Street in order to allow for the left turn
lane to be installed. An item will be on the Council agenda of
1-22-91 to prohibit parking as required.
We recommend that a contract be awarded for the low bid
price.

RESOLUTION, NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO HOVEY ELECTRIC, INC. FOR INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC
SIGNALS AND HIGHWAY LIGHTING AT TWENTY-FIRST STREET AND VALENCIA
AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARD1NO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION
Hovey Electric,
Inc.
is the lowest

responsible bidder for:
Installation of Traffic Signals and
Highway Lighting at Twenty-First Street and Valencia Avenue, in
accordance with Plan No. 82691 and a contract is awarded to said
bidder accordingly for the total amount of $56,385.00 for the
Basic Bid and Additive Alternates, but such award shall be
effective only upon the contract being fully executed by the
parties1 all other bids therefore are hereby rejected1 and the
Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract
on behalf of the CitY1 a copy of the contract is attached hereto,
marked Exhibit "An and incorporated herein by reference as fully
as though set forth at length.
SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica-
tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are
intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
course of conduct of any party.
SECTION 3. This resolution is rescinded if the parties
to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
passage of this resolution.
