We have been informed that the matter concerning the closure of Tippecanoe
Avenue and Mill Street at the boundaries of the Ballistic Systems Division
was continued until 3 July 1989.
As you are aware, the proposed Memorandum of Agreement on the subject was
forwarded through our higher headquarters, Military Airlift Command, to the
Secretary of the Air Force. The Secretary of the Air Force has informed
us, through command channels. that the Ai r Force's intent is not to approve
the closure and gate relocation at the present time. Therefore. we request
the item be deleted from your agenda.
We greatly appreciate the City of San Bernardino's consideration in this
matter.
