CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - RIEQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
This ordinance updates the Municipal Code to conform
with present operations and to comply with City Attor-
ney's opinion 88-9 (10.38) which holds that the Chief
Examiner and the Director of Personnel positions are in-
compatible offices and may not be held by the same
person.

SECTION 1:
Section 2.04.020 of the San Bernardino
Municipal Code entitled "Civil Service Responsibilities"
permitting appointment of the Personnel Director as the Chief
Examiner and Secretary of the Civil Service Board is hereby
repealed.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was duly
