Bonadiman & Associates re- lating to the design of a dip crossing at 48th Street and Devil's Canyon Diversion Channel. Finding made of need for health and safety reasons. Negative Declaration adopted and authorization to ad- vertise for bids for dip crossing granted. COUNCIL ACTION o STAFF REPORT Plans for construction of a box culvert on 48th Street, at Devil's Canyon Channel, have been prepared by a consulting Civil Engineer, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists of installing either a series of 5 pipes, or a reinforced concrete box culvert, to eliminate the present dip crossing. Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost: Construction Contract $ 385,675 Consulting Engineer's Fee 8,100 Construction Engineering (W.O. #1799) 20,000 Sub-Total $ 413,775 Contingencies (15%):!: 62,025 TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 475,800 o The agreement with the Redevelopment Agency provided for the City to be reimbursed up to $220,000 for costs incurred on this project. The First Amendment to the Agreement increased the maximum reimbursement to the City from $220,000 to $475,800. Also, a new paragraph is added that provides the City will use its best efforts to establish a procedure to collect fees from developments that will benefit from this project.
