Synopsis of Previous Council action:
07-22-85 -- Resolution No. 85-284, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a landscaping maintenance distric~
06-03-85 --Resolution No. 85-198, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
landscaping.
Recommended motion:

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12~0 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No.85-284 and 85-198. which established the Oistrict. t.he annual
asseSsment roll relative to Assessment District No. 956 (Carnegie Drive Area
Landscape Maintenance District) has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1989-90 totals $100.610.72 and is submitted to your Honorable Body
for action as required.

RESOLUTION
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1989-90
ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 956, LANDSCAPING
3 MAINTENANCE, CARNEGIE DRIVE AREA.

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-284, the Mayor and Common
5 Council found that the public interest, convenience, and
6 necessity required the formation of a landscaping maintenance
7 district; and
8 WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 85-284, the Mayor and
9 Common Council formed an assessment di stri ct known as Assessment
10 District No. 956 for the purpose of providing landscaping
11 maintenance in the area of Carnegie Drive pursuant to the
12 provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code;
13 and
o

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 85-198, the Mayor and Common
15 Council declared that all the land included within the boundaries
16 of said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
17 landscaping; and
18
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 85-198 declared that an
19 annual assessment shall be levied on all land within the dist~ict
20 to provide funding for said landscaping maintenance and the
21 administration thereof; and
22
WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totalling
23 $100,610.72 whi ch sets forth the i ndi vi dual assessmen ts to be
24 levied on each of the parcels of land within Assessment District
25 No. 956 for the fiscal year 1989-90;

1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
2 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
3 SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby
4 find and determine that the proportionate costs to be levied
5 against the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 956
6 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll No. 956 for the fiscal
7 year 1989-90, designated as Exhibit nAil and attached hereto, and
8 do hereby confirm said assessments.
9 SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a
10 copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the
11 Auditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the
request that the individual assessments be placed on the
12
13 subject 1989-90 property tax bills for collection together with
14 a 11 other property taxes.
15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
16 adopted by the Mayor and Common Counci 1 of the Ci ty of San
17 Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
