Synopsis of Previous Council action:
4-7-86 -- Resolution No. 86-98, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessi ty required
the formation of a landscaping maintenance distric~
3-3-86 -- Resolution No. 86-75, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of said
district will be benefited by the maintenance of said landscaping.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the ~lunicipal Code and
Resolutions No. 86-98 and 86-75. which established the District. the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 970 (Cable Creek Areal has
been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The ro 11 for 1989-90 totals $602.24 and is submitted to your Honorable Body for
acti on as requi red.

RESOLUTION NO.
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1989-90
ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 970, LANDSCAPING
3 MAINTENANCE, CABLE CREEK AREA.

WHEREAS, by Resol ution No. 86-98, the Mayor and Common
5 Council found that the pUblic interest, convenience, and
6 necessity required the formation of a landscaping maintenance
7 district; and
8
WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 86-98, the Mayor and
9 Common Council formed an assessment district known as Assessment
10 District No. 970 for the purpose of providing landscaping
11 maintenance in the Cable Creek Area pursuant to the provisions of
12 Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code; and
13
WHEREAS, by Resol uti on No. 86-75, the Mayor and Common
o 14 Council declared that all the land included within the boundaries
15 of said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
16 landscaping; and
17
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 86-75 declared that an
18 annual assessment shall be levied on all land within the district
19 to provide funding for said landscaping maintenance and the
20 administration thereof; and
21
WHEREAS, an Assessment Roll has been prepared totalling
22 $602.24 which sets forth the individual assessments to be levied
23 on each of the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 970
24 for the fiscal year 1989-90;

NOW THEREFORE 8E IT RESOLVED 8Y THE MAYOR AND COMMON

2 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby
3

find and determine that the proportionate costs to be levied
5 against the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 970
6 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll No. 970 for the fiscal
7 year 1989-90, designated as Exhibit "A" and attached hereto, and
8 do hereby confirm said assessments.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a
9
10 copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the
11 Auditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the
12 request that the individual assessments be placed on the
13 subject 1989-90 property tax bills for collection together with
14 all other property taxes.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
