Synopsis of Previous Council action:
11-2-87 -- Resolution No. 87-387, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
found that the public interest, convenience and necessity required
the formation of a sewer lift station maintenance district.
10-5-87 -- Resolution No. 87-363, adopted by the Mayor and Common Council,
declared that all the land included within the boundaries of
said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said sewer
lift station.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

STAFF REPORT
As required by the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code and
Resolutions No. 87-387 and 87-363. which es~blished the District. the annual
assessment roll relative to Assessment District No. 969 (Irvington and Olive
Landscape Maintanancel has been prepared and is attached to the Resolution.
The roll for 1989-90 totals $246.70 and is submitted to your Honorable Body for
action as required.

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING THE 1989-90
2 ASSESSMENT ROll FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 969, LANDSCAPING
MAINTENANCE, IRYINGTON AND OLIVE AVENUE AREA.

WHEREAS,
by Resol ution No. 87-387, the Mayor and
Common Council found that the public interest, convenience, and
5

necessity required the formation
of a landscaping maintenance
district; and
7

WHEREAS, by said Resolution No. 87-387, the Mayor
and Common Council formed an assessment district known as
9
Assessment District No. 969 for the purpose of providing
10
landscaping maintenance in the area of Irvington Avenue and Olive
11
Avenue pursuant to the provisions of Chapte~ 12.90 of the San
12
Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
13

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-363, the Mayor and Common
Council declared that all the land included within the boundaries
15
of said district will be benefited by the maintenance of said
16
landscaping; and
17
18
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 87-363 declared that an
annual assessment shall be levied on all land within the district
19
to provide funding for said landscaping maintenance and the
20
administration thereof; and
21

WHEREAS,
an Assessment Roll has been prepared
totalling $246.70 which sets forth the individual assessments to
23
be levied on each of the parcels of land within Assessment
24
25 District No. 969 for the fiscal year 1989-90;

NOW THEREFORE 8E IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
2 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby
4 find and determine that the proportionate costs to be levied
5 against the parcels of land within Assessment District No. 969
6 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll No. 969 for the
7 fiscal year 1989-90, designated as Exhibit "A" and attached
8 hereto, and do hereby confirm said assessments.

SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a

10 copy of this Resolution to be transmitted to the Office of the
11 Auditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the
12 request that the individual assessments be placed on the subject
13 1989-90 property tax bills for collection together with all
14 other property taxes.
