STAFF REPORT
The Water Department recently completed renovatio~s to the welding
shop in the lower yards. The welding shop is ~ocated close to
Arrowhead Avenue adjacent to the flood contrq1 channel. The
renovation required installation of an electrical ~ervice and a pad
mount transformer to receive electrical servi~e from Southern
California Edison Company. Southern California: Edison requires
that their service to the. transformer be unc!lerground, which
requires an easement from the right-of-way to th~ transformer.
The Board of Water Commissioners, at their regular; meeting held May
16, 1989, unanimously voted to approve this reque~t for a Grant of
Easement to Southern California Edison Company a~d authorized the
Secretary to submit said easement to the Mayor and Common Council
for approval.
