STAFF REPORT
Authorization to Proceed with the proposed vacation of a portion of
Chestnut Avenue. North of Irvington Avenue. was granted February 6. 1989. by the
Mayor and Common Council relative to the construction of the Chestnut Drain within
the proposed vacation. This request was City initiated. The normally required
vacation fee of $400.00 will not be received as this is a City initiated project.
A drainage easement for the benefit of the Chestnut Drain. and any other
public utility easements which may be required. will be reserved from the proposed
vacation. The drainage easement will be 30.00 feet wide and 15.00 feet on each side
of. and parallel with. the centerline of Chestnut Avenue for the entire distance of
the proposed vacation.
As a matter of course. the adjoining property owners will be notified of the
proposed vacation.
Approva 1 of Pl an 7717 is the next step in the formal proceedings.
