SUBJECT: Permission for Use of City Logo
Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council/Committee Action:
12/21/88 The Redevelopment Committee reviewed the matter at its December 21,
1988 meeting and asked for further detail.
01/19/89 The Redevelopment Committee reviewed the matter and recommended
approval of the request to use the City's Seal.

Recommended Motion:
That use of the City Seal/insignia be authorized on materials
identifying the Redevelopment Agency.

Staff has requested permission to use a combined City/Redevelopment Agency
logo for utilization on Redevelopment Agency letterhead and marketing
materials. The Intent Is to show that the Agency's activities are In
cooperation with the City. He have been advised by Agency Counsel that the
San Bernardino Municipal Code requires the City's legislative body to
speCifically authorize the use of the City's Logo.
At the Redevelopment Committee meeting of December 21, 1988, staff presented
examples of a proposed Redevelopment Agency logo which uses the City Logo as
Its base.
Upon discussion and review, the Committee requested staff to redraw the
proposed logo with their recommended changes and to bring the matter back to
the Committee for further review.
The attached modified logo reflects the amendments suggested by the Committee
and Is, therefore, recommended for approval.
