ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA STATE DEPARTMENT OF STAFF REPORT EDUCATION, FOOD DISTRIBUTION SECTION FOR COMMODITIES FOR THE SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN - JULY 3 - AUGUST 31, 1989 . The California Department of Education, Food Distribution Section administers USDA donated commodities for the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Donated commodities are utilized by the Sponsor's Vendor for food preparation. . This Department's vendor for food preparation is the San Bernardino City Unified School District. The commodities will be distributed to the School District for their use in preparing the meals for the Summer Lunch Program. April 27, 1989 c . --~,., ,." -- _./ 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, FOOD DISTRIBUTION 3 SECTION FOR COMMODITIES DONATED BY THE AGRICULTURE MARKETING SERVICE FOR USE WITH THE CITY'S SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN DURING THE PERIOD 4 JULY 3, 1989 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 1989. 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 6 7 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized 8 and directed to execute on behalf of said City an agreement with California State Department of Education, Food Distribution Section for Commodities donated by the Agriculture Marketing Service for use with the Summer Food Service Program for Children during the period July 3, 1989 thru August 31, 1989 9 10 11 12 a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein 13 by reference as fully as though set forth at length. SECTION 2.
