Recommended motion:
That the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized to proceed with initiating
proceedings for the establishment of an assessment district under the provisions
of Chapter 12.90 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code and.that the City Engineer
is directed to prepare aD Engineer's Report for the proposed maintenance of
Landscaping in.portions Verdemont Drive, Garfield Avenue and Ohio Avenue, between
Olive Avenue and Palm Avenue

STAFF REPORT
A petition has been received by this office requesting the formation of an
assessment district for the maintenance of landscaping~long a portion of the
major streets which border Tract No. 12413 and Tentative Tracts No. 13619, -12460
and 12461 _ This petition is the result of requirement by the City for the
Developer to establish the district. The assessment will include maintenance of
landscaping, energy costs, and administrative costs. The signatures affixed to
the referenced petition have been checked and found to represent the owners of
100 percent of the area of the property lying within tl).e proposed boundaries of
the district to be assessed for the proposed maintenance.
The developer will be required to up-front the cost of the proceedings for
establishment of the district.
It- is recommended that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer and the City
Clerk be authorized to proceed with the establishment of the proposed district.
