CITt ~ SAN BERN~RDINO - REQUEST F~R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT A request was received by the City from the owner of an approximately 10 acre parcel, located South of Rialto Avenue, West of Tippecanoe Avenue. This parcel is bounded on the East, West and South by the City boundaries. There are seven parcels located just north of the petitioner's parcel that abut Rialto Avenue. on the South. This office sent correspondence to the registered voters living within these seven parcels, for their response to the possibility of being included in this annexation. Three responses were received--- one opposing and two in favor. It is felt that the lack of response from the remainder indicates that no strong opposition to the annexation exists. . On November 2, 1988, the Director of Public Works/City Engineer were authorized to proceed with the proposed annexation. On March 12, 1989, Resolution No. 89-70 was approved, making application to the LAFC, for the proposed annexation. Due to a recent change in policy and forms with the LAFC, they have advised us that the information must be submitted on new forms, and certain language must be contained within the Resolution. The attached Resolution complies with this requirement. It is therefore recommended that Resolution No. 89-70 be rescinded, and the attached resolution be approved, authorizing the making of a formal application to the LAFC for the proposed annexation. . This is consistent with the IPD and the General Plan and has the concurrence of the Planning Director. 3-22-89 ~ 0 . rfl . . I ,. f .
