The proposed purchase is for two (2) each 3/4 ton trucks with uti 1 ity
body to be uti 1 i zed in dai ly operati ons by the Pub 1 i c Servi ces/Street
Department.
At the request of the department, appropriate specifications were
prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly
opened and declared on March 7, 1989.
The following is a summary of Bids received.

Services and the Fleet Manager who concurs that the Bid of De Anza
Chevrolet meets specifications and requirements. It is therefore
recommended that the Bid be accepted for contract. The equipment funding
is in the 1988/89 budget.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO DE ANZA
CHEVROLET FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF TWO (2) EACH 3/4 TON TRUCKS WITH
3 UTILITY BODY, TO BE UTILIZED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICES/STREET DEPARTMENT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-89-25.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
5 BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That De Anza Chevrolet is the lowest and best responsible
bidder for the furnishing and delivery of two (2) each 3/4 ton trucks with

utility bOdy in accordance with Bid Specification F-89-25 for the total amount
of $29,307.7; pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby
authorized and directed to issue a purchase order for said two (2) each 3/4
ton trucks with utility body to said lowest and best responsible bidder; such
award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase Order by the
Purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefor are hereby rejected.
