Subject: Parking Limitation on 125 Parking
Spaces - Public Parking Lot SEC
Court and wEw Streets
Synopsis of Previous Council action:
12-08-75 -- Resolution No. 12255 adopted establishing parking time
limitations for those parking spaces designated by
appropriate signs or pavement markings.
05-09-77 --Resolution No. 12772 adopted establishing parking time
limitations for the east and west parking tiers.
06-17-91 Resolution No. 91-231 adopted establishing parking time
limitations on all parking spaces within parking lot.
Recommended motion:
Adopt resolution.

CITY OF SAN BERNOIDINO - REQUEST FQ:I COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Resolution No. 91-231 was adopted at the Council meeting
of 6-17-91. This resolution expanded the two-hour parking time
over the entire parking lot north of City Hall.
After ohserving for several months how the lot functions
with two-hour parking, it has been determined that the time
limitation is not needed over the entire lot.
Therefore, it is proposed to remove the two-hour parking
time limitation for three internal rows. The row along the west
side, and the three rows along the east side, will continue to be
two-hour parking, as shown on the attached map.
We recommend that the resolution be adopted, in order to
achieve the maximum utilization of the parking spaces in this
lot.

RESOLUTION NO. 8234 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION.
3 ESTABLISHING PARKING TIME LIMITATIONS UPON CERTAIN DESIGNATED
STREETS, ALLEYS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF, AND OTHER CITY
4 PROPERTY. . ;" AND AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF THE TWO-HOUR
PARKING LIMITATION ON THE OFF-STREET PARKING LOT LOCATED ON THE
5 SOUTHEAST CORNER OF "E" STREET AND COURT STREET, EXCEPTING THE
WESTERNMOST ROW (20 SPACES), AND THE THREE EASTERNMOST ROWS (77
6 SPACES).
7 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Resolution No. 8234, Section One, Subsection
5.5, CENTRAL CITY OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS, is amended to read:
"5.5 CENTRAL CITY OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS
(A) The westernmost row (20 spaces), and the 3
easternmost rows (77 spaces) of the parking lot located on the
southeast corner of 'E' Street and Court Street.
(B) Off-street parking lot known as Parking
District Lot No.1, located between Fourth Street and Fifth
Street and between "E" Street and "F" Street, applicable only to
the first 17 spaces south of Fifth Street, between the access
driveway and the west property line of said lot, the first 28
spaces south of Fifth Street between the access driveway and east
property line of said lot, including the 7 handicapped spaces
south of Fifth Street adjacent to the east property line; the
first 25 spaces west of "E" Street adjacent to the south side of
the access driveway, including one (1) handicapped space and one
(1) loading zone space adjacent to "E" Street; the first 8 spaces
north of Fourth Street and east of the access driveway, the first
16 spaces north of Fourth Street and west of the access driveway;
the handicapped space east of
