Synopsis of Previous Council action:
06-02-86 --- Resolution 86-204 adopted, granting an easement across City owned land
for egress and ingress.
Recommended motion:
That the Real Property Section be authorized to proceed with the proposed sale of City
property located North of Glendenning Way and do all things necessary and incidental
thereto according to established procedures, including the obtaining Title Report and
appraisel of subject property.

STAFF REPORT
In 1954. the City acquired a parcel of land, located North of Glendenning Way,
East of Valencia Avenue.
On June 2. 1986, the City granted an 18' strip of land along the Westerly portion
of this parcel, to the property directly Westerly of the City owned property.
This easeaent was granted for the purposes of allowing egress and ingress to the
rear of the adjacent property.
The present owner of this adjacent parcel has requested for an additional
easement from the City . The property owner is handicapped and needs this area as
a turnaround for the proposed construction of a garage for her specially equipped
van.
In lieu of another easement. the property owner is willing to purchase the land
from the City. It is felt that the area in question is valued at over $2.000 and
the land would have to be sold through the bid process.
Since the area to be sold is part of a larger parcel which is not being used by
the City for any purpose. this office would also like to begin proceedings to
sell the larger parcel.
If authorization is given. this office will notify all City Departments of the
proposed land sale. and an appraisal will be obtained on the property.
