I found a significant inprovem:nt in students I descriptive writing using the sentence a:rrbining rrethexi over traditional methods of tEBching writing. Data was statistically analyzerl and revealerl no significant differences between groups. Results were presenterl in a Faculty lecture series at CSUSB en April 16, 1990. winter. 1990, a study to analyze differences between traditional teaching of writing and use of the cx:xrputer to teach writing to 8th graders for 8 weeks. Fall. 1991-Spring. 1993, a study of pre- and post-treatment gains in reading level and in attitudes of secandaIy students being tutorerl in the Student Literacy Cbrps program ftmderl by U.S. Dept. of Etlucatian.
