STAFF REPORT

The proposed purchase is for one (1) 1500 g.p.m. triple
combination pumper to be utilized in daily operations by
the Fire Department.
Seagrave Fire Apparatus Inc. was the winning bid on an
identical fire pumper in August of 1992.

The funding source for this equipment and accessori.. will be
C.D.B.G. Funds (E.D.A.), which were previously approved by
Mayor and Council on Monday, April 19, 1992.

All payments to Seagraves shall be authorized by the city
Finance Director. Seagrave shall be paid $251,894.72
including tax. The remaining $36,739.10 will be used for
accessories such as hoses, nozzles, paramedic equipment,
and other firefighting tools. The accessories will be
purchased in the normal manner through the purchasing
department.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A PURCHASE
3 ORDER TO SEAGRAVES FIRE APPARATUS, INC., FOR THE FURNISHING AND
DELIVERY OF ONE FIRE-PUMPER TRUCK TO BE UTILIZED BY THE FIRE
4 DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-92-17.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Seagraves Fire Apparatus, Inc., is the
lowest and best responsible bidders for the furnishing and
delivery of one Fire Pumper Truck in accordance with Bid
Specification F-92-17 for the total amount of $251,894.72;
pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby
11 authorized and directed to issue Purchase Orders for said one

Fire Pumper Truck to said lowest and best responsible bidder;
such award shall only be effective upon the issuance of a Purchase
Order by the purchasing Agent; and all other quotations therefor
-
are hereby rejected.
SECTION 2. The authorization to issue above-referenced
Purchase Order is rescinded if it is not issued within sixty (60)
days of the passage of this resolution.
