Instead they have recommended that Program Coordinators and Directors attend various other available conferences. Because our Program Director, Betty Lewis has been in the field for many years, ACTION recommended that she should attend the National Community Service Conference in Orlando, Florida. The goal of ACTION's training programs is to increase the director's knowledge and skills and to exchange information and problem solving strategies among project directors. The Orlando meeting will provide the environment and opportunity to realize these goals. Expenses of the conference will be born by the ACTION Program Budget under which we are currently operating. There will be no additional costs to be born by City funding. April 20, 1993 amt 75-0264
