Recommended Motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve the following dates for regular meetings of the Mayor and Common Council/
Community Development Commission for the year 2008: January 7; January 22
(Tuesday due to holiday); February 4 ; February 19 (Tuesday due to holiday); March 3
and 17; April 7 and 21; May 5 and 19; June 2 and 16; . July 7 and 21; August 4 and 18;
September 2 (Tuesday due to holiday); September 15; Octobe'r 6 and 20; November 3
and 17; December 1 and 15.

regular meeting dates for 2008

BACKGROUND
This is a request to have the Mayor and Common Council/Community Development
Commission approve the following Council/Commission regular meeting dates for 2008:
January 7 and January 22 (Tuesday due to holiday on Monday); February 4 and 19
(Tuesday due to holiday on Monday); March 3 and 17; April 7 and 21; May 5 and 19;
June 2 and 16; July 7 and 21; August 4 and 18; September 2 (Tuesday due to holiday
on Monday) and 15; October 6 and 20; November 3 and 17; December 1 and 15.
All the regular Council/Commission meetings for 2008 will take place on the first and
third Mondays of each month. with the exception of those falling on a holiday. In
November due to the Veterans holiday, the agenda deadline was moved up a day to
Monday, November 10, 2008. In the month of December the agenda deadline for the
January 20, 2009. Council Meeting was moved up a day to December 29, 2008. and
the agenda briefing was moved up to Tuesday, December 30, 2008. These are the
only changes in the agenda deadline calendar for 2008.
With the Mayor and Common Council's approval of a year-long schedule of regular
meeting dates. it gives us an opportunity to provide departments advance notice of
deadlines for submitting agenda items. .
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve the following dates for regular meetings of the Mayor and Common Council!
Community Development Commission for the year 2008: January 7; January 22
(Tuesday due to holiday); February 4 ; February 19 (Tuesday due to holiday); March 3
and 17; April 7 and 21; May 5 and 19; June 2 and 16; July 7 and 21; August 4 and 18;
September 2 (Tuesday due to holiday); September 15; October 6 and 20; November 3
and 17; December 1 and 15.
